It’s a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you’re ready. I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything. There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

Having spent the better part of the weekend messing around with fonts and line-spacing, swapping one photo for another, and dithering about whether I should use an old head shot or take a new one (one whose hair colour more accurately represents what’s on my head these days…), I’ve decided to take Mr. Laurie’s advice and simply hit the ‘Launch’ button.
Like the painting above, this website is not yet ‘finished’. And that’s okay, because I’m much more interested in how things develop than what they develop into.
My goal is to update these Studio Notes when I’ve got something interesting to share. I’ll highlight works in progress, art tools I’m loving and new techniques I’m trying. You can also expect random musings on creativity, art-making and the joy of discovery.
I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
