I am an abstract artist drawn to bold colour, organic shapes, and the energy of transformation. My paintings explore memory, emotion, and change, capturing both fleeting moments and the layers of history that build over time. Each piece is a reflection of my own evolving process—intuitive, expressive, and always open to surprise.
As a primarily self-taught artist, I embrace spontaneity, allowing my work to develop through an ongoing dialogue with the canvas. I don’t begin with a fixed plan; instead, I respond to each mark, shape, and colour in real time. My process is about discovery, letting unexpected relationships emerge between elements and allowing space for both clarity and complexity. I work in acrylic paint and wax pastel on canvas.

Layering plays a crucial role in my paintings. I build up and strip away, revealing glimpses of past decisions while obscuring others. Using masking, scraping, and sanding, I create a tension between what remains visible and what is hidden—mirroring the way we edit, recall, and reinterpret our own experiences. The result is work that invites close looking, where deeper details emerge over time.
My current body of work explores the idea of portals—openings into other spaces, memories, or ways of seeing. The paintings themselves act as doorways, drawing viewers in and encouraging them to engage beyond the surface. Within the compositions, portal-like forms suggest movement and transition, symbolizing the continuous process of change.
At its heart, my work is an exploration of becoming—of embracing uncertainty, honouring what came before, and stepping into what’s next. Each painting is an invitation to slow down, look closer, and find meaning in the layers of time, colour, and form.
