FAQ

Here’s a list of Frequently Asked Questions. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please send me an email. I’m always happy to help!

And if you’re new to collecting art, start by reading my five best tips for buying art you truly love.

What mediums are your original paintings?

I work mainly in water-based mediums; acrylic paint, inks and graphite. Sometimes collage appears in my paintings. I paint on both gallery-wrapped canvas and cradled birch panels (although will confess that the latter are my favourites). You can find details about each painting listed alongside its photo in the Shop.

My favourite painting has sold – how can I be sure to know about new work?

Some pieces sell very quickly. Make sure you join my mailing list to find out about new work before it is added to the Shop. But, as I try not to bombard you with emails, you can also follow studio progress on Instagram to see work coming up.

Will my painting look exactly like the photos?

Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible with regard to size and colour. The image you see online may show a difference due to slight variation between browsers, devices and screen settings. Any variation between the image represented and the actual artwork is not deemed a fault and such inconsistencies will not be a valid reason for return.

Are your paintings framed?

Sometimes.

When finishing a painting, one of the many decisions I make is whether it might be enhanced with the addition of a simple, contemporary tray frame. My goal is always to elevate the work and show it in its very best light.

I always indicate whether a painting is framed or not in my written description of the work. You’ll also be able to see photos of it framed and unframed in the product gallery. When a painting is meant to be sold framed, the frame is already included in the price.

If you’re interested in having an un-framed painting framed, please contact me to chat. Together we can decide on framing, whether that means I do the framing for you or simply give you advice on how to have it framed locally, after purchase.

Will my paintings be ready to hang?

Yes, all paintings will arrive ready to hang. You can have fun deciding where!

How do I pay? Is shipping included?

Please see Purchasing & Shipping details.

Can I collect my artwork from your studio?

Yes. Please send me an email and we can work out a time to meet.

How will my painting be wrapped?

It depends on size, but paintings will be carefully packed using corner protection, bubble wrap and cardboard. Each one is unique so I take care that it is well packaged and that it arrives in perfect condition. For further details about delivery please see the Shipping details.
