Slowing down, making smaller, more deliberate mark Slowing down, making smaller, more deliberate marks. It’s what both these paintings and this painter need right now… I love this stage of a painting. The feeling of charcoal and water soluble pencils on the surface. How they catch and drag and mesh with the paint below. Some marks will get fixed, keeping them from blending with the next layer of paint. Some will be left to smear and fade into the background. It’s all so magical to me. #contemporaryartist #worksinprogress #portmoodycityofthearts #vancouverartist #canadianart
