Feather Canyons (24 x 30 inches)

“Feather Canyons” marks a recent breakthrough in my painting style. Much looser and freer than I’d been working previously, this painting is one of two that emerged in response to a period of painting under self-imposed restrictions and constraint. I’d been trying to force my ideas onto the surface and the painting was having none of it. When I allowed myself the freedom to just move with the paint and make marks with more energy and abandon, this beautiful and bright painting emerged. It feels like the start of something special and exciting.

Varnished with a satin, UV-protected finish and hardwired for hanging.
